The Visionairy Behind Lynk-Gel®

Lynk-Gel® was created by Soo‑Jin Yang, a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician with over 15 years of hands-on experience in the beauty industry. As a lash artist and educator she witnessed firsthand the challenges artists and clients faced with traditional lash adhesives, irritation, sensitivities, and inconsistent retention. Determined to create a safer, more effective solution, Soo‑Jin collaborated with engineers and chemists to design the world’s first LED‑cured lash extension system. Her mission was clear: to elevate lash artistry by prioritizing client health, air quality, and premium results. Today, Lynk‑Gel® embodies her passion for innovation and her commitment to setting a higher standard in the lash industry.

What is Lynk-Gel®?

Lynk-Gel® is the world’s first LED-curable lash adhesive system, developed by Illumino to offer fast, safe, and long-lasting eyelash extensions. It uses a revolutionary LED curing device paired with a photo-activated gel to instantly set lashes with precision with low to no fumes unlike traditional lash glue.

Certified to the Highest Safety Standards

  • ANSI RP‑27 Risk Group 1 Certified – The Lynk‑Gel® Device is rigorously tested and rated the top safety tier under ANSI RP‑27 standards for safe visible/UV light exposure, as confirmed in Illumino’s device documentation

  • IEC 62471 & CE Certified – Also certified under international photobiological safety standards (IEC 62471:2006) and CE-approved via third-party labs, ensuring safe operation near the eyes

  • ACGIH, ICNIRP, IES Compliant – Meets key global guidelines on optical radiation exposure

  • Health Canada-Compliant Cosmetic – Officially registered as a cosmetic in Canada, meaning it meets all regulatory requirements for safety and ingredients, making it legal and compliant for use and sale in Canada

  • Formaldehyde-Free Verified – Independent HPLC lab analysis confirms no detectable formaldehyde in Lynk‑Gel® adhesive, ensuring a, low-sensitivity formula

  • Ethical U.S. Manufacturing & FDA Standards – The Lynk‑Gel® adhesives and LED curing devices are both made in the USA under FDA-compliant facilities, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to safety regulations

How Lynk-Gel® Works

  • Instant Curing in 2–6 Seconds – LED-light activation replaces the 24‑hour dry time of traditional adhesives, enabling faster, stick-free applications.

  • Visible-Light Technology – The LED peaks just above 400 nm in the visible spectrum, making it safe and gentle on eyes.

  • Safe Air Quality – Minimal vapors mean no lingering fumes—creating a better experience for artists and clients, including those with allergies or sensitivities.

Trusted Patented Technology

  • Patented Globally – Lynk-Gel® technology is protected under U.S., EU, Japan, UK, Vietnam, and many other international patents

  • Manufactured in the USA – Both the adhesive and LED device are made under strict quality control in the U.S. to ensure consistent performance

Benefits Confirmed by Testing & Peer Review

  • 20–25% Longer Retention – Independent studies show lash extensions stay longer due to flexible, durable bonding

  • Reduced Sensitivity – Many clients who had reactions to cyanoacrylate glue tolerate Lynk-Gel® adhesive, as they contain fewer additives like stabilizers and preservatives

  • Eye Safety Validated – Testing proves LED output is well below ocular exposure limits, and skin reactions may occur in rare cases (e.g., photosensitivity medication)

Science You Can Trust

Independent labs (e.g., ANSI/IES, ACGIH) confirmed the Lynk-Gel® device:

  • Emits no harmful UV below ~360 nm

  • Has negligible near- and far-infrared emission

  • Falls within visible-light safe exposure limits

Professional organizations like American Spa highlight Lynk-Gel’s faster and safer application method, backed by visible-cure technology and ANSI safety certification for Risk Group 1 .
